The papers in this volume derive from the proceedings of the nineteenth International Bronze Congress, held at the Getty Center and Villa in October 2015 in connection with the exhibition Power and Pathos:

Jens M. Daehner is associate curator in the Department of Antiquities at the J. Paul Getty Museum, coauthor of Modern Antiquity: Picasso, de Chirico, L├ęger, Picabia (Getty Publications, 2011), and, with Kenneth Lapatin, coeditor of Power and Pathos: Bronze Sculpture of the Hellenistic World (Getty Publications, 2015). Kenneth Lapatin is curator in the Department of Antiquities at the J. Paul Getty Museum. He is the editor of The Berthouville Silver Treasure and Roman Luxury (Getty Publications, 2014) and coeditor of The Last Days of Pompeii: Decadence, Apocalypse, Resurrection (Getty Publications, 2012). Ambra Spinelli is a PhD candidate in art history and Mellon Fellow in digital humanities at the University of Southern California.
